Leona Massengale Thompson

THOMPSON MRS. LEONA, 78, Suck Creek Road, North Chattanooga, died Friday afternoon in a local hospital. Survivors: son, James L. Williams, Memphis; two daughters, Mrs. Rex (Louise) Pendergrass, Chattanooga; Mrs. Bruce (Myrtle) Lewis, Fort Pierce, Fla.; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Fronia Owens, Mrs. Minerva Redmon, Mrs. Vinnie McNabb and Mrs. Forrest Anderson, all of Chattanooga, and Mrs. Flora Neal of Houston, Tex.; a brother, Dewey Massengale of Jasper; several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. today in R. J. Coulter Chapel with the Revs. H. M. Linkous and Everette Smith officiating. Burial in Chattanooga Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Johnny Taylor, Bill Massengale, David Massengale, Patrick Petty, Jim Baxter, Earl Redmon. Arrangements by R. J. Coulter Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.
