Possible Census location –

1900 Hamilton Co. TN Federal Census, there is listing for Liley Puckett age 39 born TN and daughter Josie age 20 born TN living in Frazier abode with Liley being listed as Widowed.  David Puckett not yet found - by family lore should be dead.

Note: Soundex search shows variations of this family name with concentrations for TN being in Franklin Co., Coffee Co., and Cannon Co.  Franklin Co. has high numbers of German and Swiss immigrants from 1830's - 1860's.

Notes for David Reneau:

Possible obituary found.  Obituary dated 9 Jun 1927 in Chattanooga Times.  David Reno, age 72, died at his Daisy residence.  Survived by widow and one brother, Andy Reno of Daisy.  Interment in Jackson Chapel Cemetery - oldest Hamilton county cemetery.  Search of this cemetery through databases shows no marker for David Reno/Reneau.

From 1910 James County Census neighboring is Randle Ramsey (head, 52, married1 for 25 years, farmer, employed, owns farm, born TN, father born TN, mother born NC) household with wife, 2 single sons, 1 married son, and daughter-in-law.  Also, same ED and CD, page 7B taken 28&29 Apr 1910 is Champ Ramsey (head, 47, widowed, farmer, employed, owns farm, born TN, father born TN, mother born NC) with 2 daughters and 6 sons all single at home with ages ranging 5-22 years.  Additionally, one of these sons, McKinley Ramsey (age 16 in census) is found later in James Co. marriage records marrying a Bertha Cantrell - licensed dated 30 Nov 1918.

Family remembers as "Aunt Margaret" living in Chattanooga.

Obituary in Chattanooga Times 23 November 1953. Survived by two sons (Floyd and Raleigh Beene), two daughters (Miss Maude Beene and Mrs. L. C. Poe) all of Chattanooga; grandson (Leon Beene) of Detroit, MI; one great granddaughter (Vickie Sue Beene) of Chattanooga.
